In the middle of the sea, around 30 kilometres north of Helgoland, a wind farm of superlatives is being created: the Nordsee Ost offshore wind farm. The nacelle for a single wind turbine has the dimensions of a family home, the rotors could cover the area of two football pitches, and – with a height of around 160 metres at the rotor tip – one of these turbines would even tower above Cologne Cathedral. RWE Innogy is using a film camera to accompany its flagship project.
